ASDS/A 2020 Annual Report
COSMETIC FELLOWSHIP
In 2012, ASDS created the Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship Accreditation Program (CDSFAP) offering accreditation to formalize and standardize fellowships in cosmetic dermatology. Fellows must complete 1,000 cases in five of eight procedure categories, have a didactic curriculum and exposure to experiences designed to augment their training: research, writing and reviewing clinical manuscripts, attending conferences and presenting at clinical conferences, and teaching residents. This mindful repetition in a controlled environment gives ASDS fellows the competence, confidence and credibility they will need to get their careers off and running and provides a solid base on which to build the Society’s future. CDSFAP currently boasts 24 approved programs and participated in the SF Match for the forth time in 2020. We celebrate 26 graduates for the year.
